TuningBox® may be small but it packs a powerful punch and has been engineered taking every eventuality into account. Some of the most important features included are a simple foolproof installation and key safety features for both you and your car.

TuningBox® manufactures a variety of different units depending on your vehicle. These units intercept the signal to one or more sensors such as the pressure sensor, diesel pump, turbo pressure control solenoid or each fuel injector.

Unlike it competitors TuningBox® units do not contain generic software. Most units on the market just add a FIXED percentage "increase” to the fuel rail pressure signal and use this same software across a variety of vehicles. This hit and miss approach results in engine check warning lights, limp modes and inconsistent power gains.

This is because vehicle manufacturers incorporate "safety control points” into the engine’s ECU. This means that units that employ a linear increase will eventually trigger this control point. The only remedial action is to decrease the "gain” on the unit, which results in little power gain. How many times have you heard of customers having to detune the box to prevent the dreaded limp mode or excessive black smoke and actually end up with little power increase?

The TuningBox® research and development team actually seek out these safety control points on the dynamometer and map around them whilst carefully keeping within the safety limits of the engine and transmission. It is not a fixed percentage increase – the signal(s) are actually custom mapped to the engine instead. This results in safe and consistent power and torque increase across the rev range.
