Boron Motor Silk (32oz / 908ml) Engine TreatmentMotorSilk® Engine Treatment with Boron CLS Bond® was developed at Argonne National Labs under the Department of Energy and based upon the Hydrogen Orthoborate technology.

This is the only 100% reactive technology in lubrication available. All other additives whether in the oil additive package or an aftermarket additive do not bond to metal alloy - they are inert.

Once the Boron CLS Bond® enters the oil it begins to form a covalent bond with the metal alloy penetrating all carbon, varnish or corrosion forming a near-diamond hard boric oxide surface protecting all vital working components against wear, friction and corrosion activity. This new surface also blocks oxygen to dramatically reduce the oxidation process of the lubricant.

MotorSilk® is added to the crankcase at a 10-1 ratio. A 32oz (1 Litre) bottle treats crankcase capacities up to 10 quarts (11.2 litres). This is not an oil conditioner and does not disrupt the additive packages in oils.

It has taken us over 4 years and a significant amount of testing to find an additive that is worthy of putting our name against.

DIRECTIONS:

One 500ml (16oz) bottle of MotorSilkTM Engine Treatment treats up to 5.6 litres (5 quarts) of crankcase oil, which is suitable for most small to medium sized vehicles. For engines with larger oil capacities, use additional MotorSilkTM treatments at one 500ml bottle for every 5.6 litres of engine oil. Please refer to your owner’s manual to determine the engine oil capacity.

Refer to your vehicles Owner’s Manual for opening the hood of your vehicle and locating the engine oil dip stick and oil filler location. Check the oil level first with the dip stick and drain a little oil beforehand (maximum 500ml) to avoid overfilling if required. Bring the engine up to operating temperature. With the engine turned off, remove the oil filler cap.

Shake the MotorSilkTM Engine Treatment before opening. Once shaken, remove the lid and seal, then pour the entire treatment into the oil intake through the funnel. (It is best to use a funnel to install the treatment). Replace the oil filler lid and check to make sure the dip stick and oil filler lid are properly sealed.

After installation run the engine for at least 5 minutes. Re-check the oil level and top up with the manufactures recommend engine oil if required. MotorSilkTM engine oil treatment produces a chemical reaction that treats the metal surfaces in your engine. This process requires 400 to 1000 miles of driving, after treating your engine.

OTHER APPLICATIONS:

• Use as a presoak for bearings, chains, pre-engine assembly or wherever a diamond like surface and corrosion resistance is desired on a metal alloy.

• For a quick reaction spray down the object then bake at 225F for 2 hours to create the bond of Boric Oxide to the alloy.

• Apply to tools or any surface where an anti-corrosion surface is desired, when applied in an open environment allow up to 3 weeks for the Boric acid to form a Boric Oxide bond to the surface (Heat causes a quicker bonding reaction) in the absence of heat a longer period of time is required.
